IN-HOME CARE

We love helping our clients and their families!

Companion Care

At TLC Healthcare, we understand the incredible effects that socialization and companionship can have on elderly mental health and well-being. Opportunities to engage with others and grow relationships with friends, family, neighbors and community members can help improve symptoms of depression, ease feelings of senior isolation and loneliness, and even reduce the risk of dementia.

By spending time with our caregivers, your loved one not only has someone at the ready to help around the house or help prepare a meal, they also have a friend who offers social connection and a companion who can help them get back to doing the things that bring them joy.

Safety Care

Is an aging parent living at home a good thing? It depends! Our homes provide comfort, familiarity, and feelings of continued independence and security. So, having a senior continue to live at home makes sense, right? Not necessarily. Deciding whether the home environment is safe is an essential factor. Let TLC Health Care assist with determining the safety of you or your loved one’s Home and how to increase safety and livability.

Senior Transportation

For many seniors, getting out to attend community events, see friends, run errands and visit healthcare professionals is part of living the highest quality of life. We understand that maintaining independence is important – especially for those that don’t have the desire or ability to drive. Access to transportation can also help seniors maintain a connection with family, friends and other loved ones.

Highly trained TLC Healthcare caregivers can provide a better option for reliable, safe elderly transportation - ensuring that seniors experience the level of freedom and mobility that they desire.

Personal Care

Personal care is a broad term that supports basic personal hygiene and activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and toileting. TLC Healthcare’s trained caregivers assist with personal care needs ranging from stand-by assistance to full care depending on each client’s individual needs.

This can include basic tasks, such as bathing, mobility assistance, incontinence and toileting care, preparing and serving meals, to more hands-on personal care including position changes for those clients that are bedbound and specialized care for those with memory issues or cognitive impairments, fall risk assessment and prevention, change in condition monitoring.

Personal home care services can also include assistance with outings, social events, shopping trips, and other activities of interest to maintain engagement both physically and emotionally. TLC Healthcare can develop a custom care plan for your loved one that includes physical safety and wellbeing, emotional health, and socialization. Our goal is to help our clients have the best quality of life while maintaining their independence at home.

Paying for Care

One of the most common questions families ask when considering in-home care is, “How much does in-home care cost?” The answer to this question varies by state, circumstance and the type of care that will be provided.

If you’re wondering about how to pay for in-home care, keep in mind that there are many options available to you. Researching these options based on you or your loved ones’ financial situation is critical to finding the most advantageous way to pay for care.
And don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.

Interactive Caregiving

While our caregivers provide assistance with the daily needs that a senior has, they encourage participation and engagement as much as possible. This allows our caregivers to develop a relationship with clients and help keep them physically and mentally active. We believe in-home care is about more than completing tasks on a list — we offer personalized care that helps clients enjoy their time and improves quality of life. By focusing on interactive caregiving, we can elevate the spirits of clients and their families.
